The Naomh Brigid was built by Tyrells of Arklow in 1932.
This vessel was built as a 36ft Motor Fishing Vessel (MFV) and fished continously right up to 1990

The boat is constructed of 1¼" larch planking on Oak frames, with double framing midships in the hold area and an Iroko deck on Pine beams.
The vessel was originally fitted with a Bolander single cylinder diesel engine, which was later replaced with a modern Perkins four cylinder diesel.
